When your busy, changing your make-up can seem like a daunting task. A day look may be too drab for an evening occasion and although changing your clothes may take minutes, vamping up your make-up can take many more. Save yourself the time and try a neutral smoky eye that can be transformed with the swipe of a different lipstick.

For a daytime appropriate look, I created a neutral smokey eye. All shadows used are from the NAKED2 palette. I used Pistol and Busted on the outer corner, Half Baked in the center, Tease to blend, Booty Call to highlight, and Blackout/Chopper on the lower lash line. For the daytime lip, I lined my whole lip with MAC’s Draw Me Close lip pencil and topped it with the Urban Decay Lip Junkie gloss.

For the evening I needed something with a bit more punch, so I changed my lip color. Above I have on MAC’s Dare You(cremesheen) with Sugarrimmed(dazzleglass) applied just in the center.

Now..wearing a red lip can be tricky. If you’re out with your friends, hopefully they’ll let you know if your teeth are matching your lips but there may be times when you get caught with “red teeth”. To avoid this, I always blot the excess away from the center with a napkin. Have fun with vivid lips this Spring. Such a fun look to wear!
